Priscilla Elias runs a commercial bakery in Lagos, supplying hotels and supermarkets.

She applied for a women's business loan and got $80,000 and with the loan, hired eight staff and signed contracts with two hotel chains which scaled up her business overnight.

A bakery, not an app, not a startup, a bakery.

Temie Giwa-Tubosun (whose picture is attached below) built LifeBank to deliver blood to hospitals using technology and motorcycles.

They won the Jack Ma Prize, $250,000, then raised millions more in venture capital.

Thousands of Nigerians are alive today because of it.

Victor Adewale founded Education as a Vaccine in Jos to fight for young people's health rights.

They secured funding from the Ford Foundation, the EU, and the Children's Investment Fund Foundation.

An NGO, built in Jos, funded by the world.

A bakery owner, a healthtech founder, an NGO director.

Three different industries, three different funding sources, one continent.

None of them waited until they felt ready

These trailblazers, hailing from diverse industries, demonstrate that with determination and perseverance, anyone can create positive change and secure the necessary resources to amplify their impact.

They are a testament to the power of taking bold action and seeking opportunities, rather than waiting for the perfect moment..

They built the thing and found the money to scale it.

That is the only story that matters.
